feature friday flogger: oh dear drea

i am honoured to introduce today's feature friday flogger. drea has a kick ace baby girl marlowe, her etsy shop is adorbs (i want it all), & she's an awesome single mom; just like me! i love following her through her ups and downs through single parenthood and again, honoured, to feature her. i kind of blog stalk her. sad to admit, but i find myself a lot within her and parallel the same life triumphs. maybe i don't stalk her, but i do follow her very closely because i feel a weird bloggy connection, i find inner strength knowing i'm not alone. she's an awesome girl & whilst living a pretty bitchin' lifestyle (in my eyes) she is an inspiration to all single mommas out there including me whom strive to be the best mom they can be and depend on nobody but themselves. it's bloggers like drea who allow the rest of us newbie bloggers to be ourselves, say what we feel, and empower us to wear a little of our feelings on our sleeve. thanks drea!

so before i go all crazed bloggy fan on you, meet drea!

Hello! I'm Drea from ohdeardrea :) I'm a sarcastic, vague, and vegan, single mama. It's just me and my 7 month old, Marlowe in our little home in south Florida. We also have Jerry, the ridiculous tennis ball addicted dog, but lately he's been staying on and off between me and my boyfriends house (it's a long story, okay it's not, his hair is just driving me nuts and he gets to play with another dog elsewhere. End of story).

I started my blog when I became pregnant. I really wanted to be able to document every important moment of my daughters life and my life as a mom. I had a livejournal for about 7 years and it just seemed right to delete it and start a new clean mama blog for my new life. Also, since I've lived in just about every corner of the United States, it's been such a great tool to keep far away family and friends up to date on the babycakes.

I like my blog for a variety reasons: 1. I've been plagued by baby/mama brain. My memory has turned non existent and it's nice to keep track of the memorable moments this way. 2. Blogging is a great creative outlet. 3. This may sound silly but... I feel like I'm doing some good and helping give inspiration. A lot of blogs so the perfect life with perfect families and pictures, but I've got a much different picture displayed. I don't have my loving husband/marlowe's father here to help out. All I've got is my mama strength and my baby to show... and of course my incredible support system of family and friends.  I've received so many emails of thanks you's and questions from scared woman searching for a bit of hope. It's nice to know people find a bit of strength in my story. It lets me know I'm doing something right.

My favorite part about being a mom? I think it's just knowing at the end of the day it's just the pleasure of knowing I'm doing the hardest job imaginable to the best of my ability. I've got a clean sleeping baby, full of food, built up on kisses, and surrounded by love... it makes me happy. Also, just watching her grow and smile? AWESOME.

Spare time? HA. Let's pretend I had spare time... I would: Go out with friends, and maybe some dancing or something. Who knows. Also, crazy (or lame) as it seems I would love to just clean my house and cook delicious food... then sit on my couch with a glass of wine and do a little sewing.

i'm linked up. weekend blog hop at makobi scribe!

feature friday flogger: at second street

it's another week for our feature friday flogger. &whom better to interview before the long weekend than kalleen from at second street. have you been there?

one of her lovely posts that really sticks out to me is her cherry chocolate fudge, it looks deeeelish, and if i wasn't afraid that i'd eat all of it. every.single.bite. i'd actually make it. but i know as awesomesauce as it looks and i know it tastes, there is no way i can make it.

kalleen's blog is filled with many of her awesome creations. many of these creations i want to recreate; especially her doll clothes. her kiddos are adorbs, she's extremely sweet and genuine, and her blog is a mecca of amazing creations.

Hi everyone, I'm Kalleen and I blog over at At Second Street. Second Street is my Home. Everything I do is for the people who live there.  I grew up watching my parents create for me and my family and now I'm doing the same for my family. Finding joy in what I do is what keeps me sane. I'm not trying to be super mom, I'm just doing what I love.
My life is pretty much all I dreamed of. My husband and I met in High School. We were best friends for years before getting married. Now we have four kids, one boy and three girls. The girls can be quite dramatic but I love dressing them up.

what made you start to blog?

About a year and a half ago I could barely sew and had never seen a craft blog or even knew they existed. Then one day I found one which led to other blogs and more and more blogs and I was hooked. I was so inspired that I started making stuff. Then I thought, why not share my stuff too? No one read it in the beginning. I didn't tell my family or friends. I was embarrassed. I don't know why? Then I started linking my projects and people SLOWLY started coming by. I remember getting excited that 20 people visited my blog in one day. It was weeks before I got my first follower. That was a happy day.

what do you like to blog about and why?

I've stuck to blogging about the things I create. Blogging is all about inspiration and building off of other ideas. I'm only able to make the things I make because of what I've learned in blog land. I can find out how to make or do just about anything with the internet. I want to give back. When I share my tutorials and ideas I hope I'm answering someone else's questions. I don't always do things in the traditional way and like to break rules. It's amazing to see the trail of inspiration in creativity.

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?

I love seeing my kids enjoy the same things in life that I did. I especially like watching them and seeing how they respond to the world around them.  It give me great joy to see them make good decisions, succeeding in life and helping other around them.

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
I like to create. If my mind isn't overwhelmed with my kids, I'm thinking about my next project and how I'm going to make it work. Any chance I have to get into my projects guilt free is a pleasure. Yes, I am that lame. I also like to eat out and have a good conversation with my hubby, my sisters and friends.

feature friday flogger

it's about time blogger is back up and running smoothly.

i've been extremely excited for this week's feature friday flogger and of course blogger had to go and act like dr jekyl and mrs hyde. so without anymore delay, i am beyond giddy to introduce jennifer from tatertots and jello.

have you been there? well, if you haven't, finish reading this interview and get on over there & shame on you!!! this blog and her abundance of crafty pants must be endured in your lifetime - over and over and over again. :) i love everything about jennier's blog - ever.y.thing.

___________________________________________

Hi! I'm Jen from Tatertots and Jello!!  I am an impatient crafter with an unhealthy obsession with Chevron and Subway Art. I am also a mom of four wonderful kiddos, 1 boy and three girls. And we are currently living in Utah.

what made you start to blog?
My sister was a blogger and she kept telling me how wonderful blogging was. I just didn't get it. Then, one day three years ago, I was having a bad day and I started my blog. It started out as a place to keep my creative ideas and projects and grew.

what do you like to blog about and why?
I love anything creative. And I love trying new things. So my blog is still mostly about my projects and things that I love. But I also love to promote other people and projects. I would say I get the most joy out of sharing other talented people with my readers.

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?
There are so many things I love about being a mom. Probably my favorite thing is seeing my kids grow and turn into these unique, funny, sweet people. They are each unique and wonderful in their own way.

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
I love to read. I read every day. Usually when I eat lunch I read some of my book and then at night before I go to bed I read too. I love historical fiction, specifically novels set in the middle ages and I also like chick lit.

feature friday flogger: the feminist housewife

i am incredibly excited for todays feature friday flogger. caroline from the feminist housewife has theee most adorable family, great decorating ideas, and her zest for life is amazing. i've followed her blog for quite a while, and just love reading her little tidbits she adds and her perspectives on everyday life and decorating. reading about her birthing process, recently, of her newest addition was amazing and i definitely recommend! what a strong and amazing woman. her ideals and knowledge on homebirthing and other ideals that aren't necessarily of the norm are a great and refreshing read. although it isnt of the pushy nature i find it very down to earth and just an insight on to how her family works and carries out their beliefs. again, a definite read!

welcome to my little piece of the interwebs caroline!

------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello! I'm Caroline from The Feminist Housewife! I'm a Women's Studies student, a wife, a mom, and a DIY project-addict and renovator. I'm also a vegetarian! I live with my husband, David, and two sons, Dmitri (22 months old) and Damon (5 weeks old) in Athens, GA, where we attend the University of Georgia.

what made you start to blog?
I have actually been blogging for about 8 years on and off. However, I started my current blog three years ago, when I got married and moved to Athens, to document our lives. Both for ourselves and our families. Since then, we have bought our first home and added two little ones to the mix. And along the way, I have become involved in the blogging community and made some wonderful blog friends.

what do you like to blog about and why?
I like to blog about whatever is going on in my life. I'm not a single-faceted person, and I don't think my blog should be either. I like to share all of it (ok, ALMOST all of it. I do keep a few things private...after all, my in-laws read it. ; ) Most frequently, I blog about the projects I am working on as I renovate our 110 year old farmhouse. Some of my other passions shine through from time to time...my boys, of course, birth, feminism, and I love food. And sometimes I share the random thoughts floating around in my head.

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?
My favorite part of parenthood is helping my children to discover and explore their world. I love watching them develop and learn new things. And of course, I love all of the hugs, kisses, and snuggles (Dmitri is such a snuggler, and Damon is already a mama's boy!) But I like to think that I am impacting the world by encouraging them to be thoughtful, responsible, loving, and passionate human beings.

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
I don't think this has ever happened...Haha! Of course, I love blogging and working on projects. But, if I had spare time with no kids, I might just like to drink a mimosa, and read a book while sunbathing. = ) Or I'd like to go to the gym.

Thank you so much for having me Stacey! I had so much fun getting to talk a little about my life and blogging through your interview!

feature friday flogger

i am so incredibly excited (and honoured) to introduce this week's feature friday flogger. if you love blogs, especially craft blogs, you know her. she is a goddess when it comes to craft blogs. she has many, many talents and if you haven't read her blog - you must stop what you're doing (after reading this of course) and go there - now - Cheri, from i am momma hear me roar is an inspiration to any of us intro bloggers trying to take claim to our corner of the www. she has a beautiful family and i could only dream to have 1/3 of her artistic crafting abilities.

without further adieu i introduce..

Hi!  I'm Cheri from I Am Momma Hear Me Roar.  I live on the wild side.  I shower totally naked.  Okay, so the truth is I'm not very wild.  I'm a busy wife and mom of two boys (3 and 1).  We live in Utah, but I grew up in Wisconsin.

what made you start to blog?
I started my craft blog a little over a year ago.  I discovered craft blogs a few months before that and I fell in love with them.  I wanted to join in on the fun.

what do you like to blog about and why?
I like to blog about anything that interests me - sewing, photography, home decor, and my family.  I favor boy projects because that's what I've got.

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?
My favorite part about being a mom is that it involves every interest in the world.  I get to be a teacher, a hairdresser, a stylist, a psychologist, a singer, and everything else I ever wanted to try.  While being a mom is really challenging, it's also the most amazing thing I've ever taken part in.  I've learned to love more deeply than I knew I could.

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
In my spare time I love to eat, shop (for ideas mostly :), play the piano, and travel.

feature friday flogger: ecomodern mom

happy easter weekend everyone! i don't care how you celebrate - just enjoy! i know that we will be; friends, family, and great food. swoooooon. the easter bunny may be visiting sunday as well - are you ready? i finally finished last night...last minute..

today's feature friday flogger is a great friend of mine, my eldest and her only share the same birth month. amongst other love for things that we share. she has a fantastic blog to name one. ecomodern mom reviews unique, green, and those items that aren't your big box store finds. stacey's niche is reviewing and letting you (the reader) know what's out there and different. stacey is very kind and loving - a great woman. strong, interesting, and i could read/hear her stories and affinities for hours, her daughter T is much the same. i am so excited to introduce you guys!

so.

stacey..readers.

readers....stacey!

Hello, I'm Stacey, *waves*. I am the writer at the blog EcoModern Mom. The title pretty much says what it's all about, I feature eco+modern products for mom & family. I am a single mommy of a 4 year daughter, Tehya and we live in Maine. I am a Harry Potter loving,  hobbyist photographer, vegetarian, blogging, shopaholic modern mommy. I practice attachment parenting, am very anti mainstream and going more green everyday.

I started blogging (specifically about products) because I live in a small town of Maine where there is absolutely no decent shopping unless you travel far. I became this overly obsessive online shopping addict and I ended up combining my love for writing and shopping together and began a mom blog where I write about my favorite products or companies that in many cases you would not find in stores.

EcoModern Mom is a blog where I find and feature only the best products, products that you can't get at your mainstream megamart store. I like to be different, I don't like my daughter wearing clothes or shoes that every other kid on the block has and am not into plastic toys or character themes and knowing there are many other moms out there in the same boat I like to bring to them those better hard to find items. I'm a modern mommy and a green mommy and most products are either green or modern, it's hard to come by both together and I like to hunt down those products that are and review and feature them on my blog.  I really enjoy blogging because I used to be the mom that was frustrated with mainstream choices and lack of earth friendly options but now that I've become more knowledgeable at finding these things I like to share our finds with the rest of the world.

My favorite part about being a mommy is definitely the random, "I love you too much, mommy" that my daughter says to me everyday. I don't know how it got started but in this house we always add the "too much", it's TOO cute.

In my spare time I love doing anything outdoors, shooting some pics, spending some time online, shopping, getting fit and hot aromatherapy baths. I also have an unhealthy addiction to certain tv shows and watch tons of movies. Oh, and I have a new found love of building things from wood. I'm still learning of course and finished my first project but it is a ton of fun (minus the sanding, haha) and I see great projects ahead. Now if someone would just teach me to sew, I really want to learn how.

So that is that, happy Friday! Thanks Stacey for the feature, your blog is really great and I love your writing style. Enjoy. :)

feature friday flogger

this weeks feature friday flogger is none other than the incredibly talented sarah from sarahndipities. her blog is full of great fresh ideas, great crafts, and tutes on almost everything you need to know about blogging and where to start. sarah's blog was one of my highly used "go-to" places to get things under control here at my www space. if you're a blogger than you know exactly what i'm talking about and how useful these tools are when you're entering into this small huge world of blogging and every piece of advice you can get, you take.

Hi!  My name is Sarah, from Sarahndipities!  I'm a SAHM to four (soon to be FIVE) great kids, and I'm married to an awesome guy that puts up with all of my creative nonsense!!  We live in a quaint Victorian farmhouse in the tiny town of Mount Pleasant, Utah!

what made you start to blog?
I started blogging several years ago as a way to keep track of the funny things my kids do and say, but I found that I wanted a separate place to share the other stuff I do with everyone else!!  I started my 'crafty blog' in August, and have loved being able to share and show things off!!  It's also been such a fun way to 'meet' new people that have the same interests that I have!

what do you like to blog about and why?
I love blogging about things to make and do...It's so fun to see what creative things people can make!!  I especially love things that I can make with or for my kids!!  I also love things that i can recycle or upcycle, and make into something useful and fun.  And I love to crochet!!!

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?
The excitement kids have for life is so wonderful...I love that I get to be a part of their discoveries and learning experience.  There is nothing more satisfying than being loved by a child.  They love with everything they have...no matter how many times you seem to mess up!!  What a joy!

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
Well, I love to do non-kids crafts when I can...I also love to read, and watch movies  and hang out with the hubby.  But honestly there's not a lot of non-kid time around these parts! lol!!!

feature friday flogger

i am extremely excited to introduce today's feature friday flogger. this special little lady was one of the first blogs i ever ventured and was instantly hooked. the kids and i re-created her alphabet tree the first day i happened to stumble upon it. i am an avid reader of her blog now and always excited for what project she has coming my way (i say that like she does these fantastic ideas with me in mind, ha! im crazy - im aware.). Katelyn from foutch coutch has one of the most creative minds i have ever "seen". her love and zest for life screams from her blog, and she has the three cutest little girls, ever. her ideas are fantastic and entices you to dive in and take part. so before i ramble on and embarrass myself even more, i am in the presence of a blogging goddess here. i bid you adieu and excited to introduce, katelyn.

Hello Readers! I'm Katelyn Foutch from the "Foutch Coutch"! I'm a 25 year old mother of 3 beautiful little girls. I have been married to my fab hubby for almost 7 years now. Wow, that went fast! My husband graduates in May and we just received a great job offer. My girls are Lauryn {5}, Brooklyn {3}, and Kamryn is 20 months! We live in the best place on earth, Moscow Idaho.

I started to blog when my oldest girl was about 1 year old, that would be 4 years ago! I can't believe I've been blogging that long! I was a stay at home mother who felt depressed and a lone. I felt like blogging was a way for me to connect to the world, share my talents, and document my family's crazy life!

Blogging for me comes last. It's the way it should be. If you try to stage anything or plan a post it's almost always is a flop. Do what you love and love what you do. Photograph it. Share it.

My favorite part about being a mom:

- little toes and belly buttons
- tiny teeth to brush
- millions of drawing to hang
- endless kisses and hugs
- sweet prayers said at dinner time
- nap time, oh how I love nap time
- lots of little helpers
- seeing my girls love each other
- dance parties
- silly photo shoots
- baking cookies
- watching Shaun the Sheep over and over
- the list goes on and on......

Spare time?!?? What's that? hahahaha. I'm actually a photographer in my "spare time". I love getting to know other people, to feel creative, and the money's not bad either. (http://www.katejenningsphotography.blogspot.com)

One last thing, I'm not much of a writer as you can tell from above. I would much rather show you than tell you. Thank you for reading!

xoxo- Katelyn

Feature Friday Flogger

this week i'm happy to introduce you all to a great, fellow canadian, friend/mummy/blogger, nancy. this mummy friend of mine is pretty wicked cool and i'm pretty sure she could answer almost any question you throw at her, she's there in an instant and she's a fountain of knowledge. she has the sweetest little boys, and want to talk about a small world? her husband used to work for a company that my ex and i used to work for which is where we (my ex and i) met, and we knew/know a few of the same people through this particular company.. pretty crazy stuff right there, it was fate! (now i just sound creepy...) she lives in canada's capital which i think is another pretty cool awesome spectacular interesting fact about her.

so readers meet nancy .. nancy.. readers.

HELLO!!!  My name is Nancy and I’m from “That Sounds Like Crazy Talk”.  I decided to use that title cuz I’m pretty crazy myself and most of what comes outta my mouth sounds pretty insane.  I am a married mother or two fantastic boys who contribute to my craziness more than I would like!  My first born is Isaac and he is 5.  My second is Gavin and he is 3.  My husbands’ name is Kirk and we’ve been married for almost 6 years.  We live in the suburbs of Ottawa and just love our small little city!

I started to blog because I wanted to respond to something Stacey had written! No, seriously, I have wanted to start a blog for a long time, but haven’t had the gumption to do so.  One night, late at night, I was reading Stacey’s blog and really, really wanted to join the world of bloggers. That night I finally got over my fear and started my very own blog.  The real reason I started my blog was to talk about my life living with mental illness. I wanted others to see that you can still live a (somewhat) normal life and a (somewhat) normal family and a (sometimes) normal job.  Once I started my blog, I just fell into writing about everyday life and I just hope everyone likes reading it as much as I enjoying sharing it with everyone else!

My favourite part about being a Mom would definitely have to be when they tell me that they love me and give me big hugs and kisses.  It doesn’t always happen that way, and I have had my 5 year old tell me that he hates me already. Every now and then, though, the emotion takes hold of them and they give me giant “squishes” (as we call them around here) and will tell me that they love me! Love that part!!  Nothing makes you feel quite so loved! Right now my youngest is really sick and he’s really snugly and adorable. I definitely love getting all the love and attention.

In my spare time I am an avid book reader.  I have a resolution this year to read 12 books this year. I’m already at 8 and it’s only April! Yah, you could say I love to read. We’re also big movie watchers here in this household.  We have a DVD collection that rivals some video stores and we’re constantly adding to it. My boys have also become big movie watchers and really enjoy going to the theatre. Sometimes they don’t sit for the whole movie and Mommy only gets to see half of the movie which is quite frustrating. Be certain when that movie finally comes out on DVD, I am first in line to buy it so I can see how it ends!! That’s the way it was with Megamind. They boys only made it ¾’s of the way thru and I really wanted to know how it ended!!! Oh, the joy of kids!

Well, I hope you found that interesting! Ha!  It’s been a joy getting to know me and I hope to do it again sometime! Thanks, Stace!!

feature friday flogger v.2

happy friday everyone, hope that your weekend is full of some great wind-down and r&r. we all know we need it. today on feature friday flogger i'm letting you get a glimpse into the life of one very kick ace friend of mine. miss jenny-fir, hehe. jennifer is a very dear friend. hard to believe but almost FIVE years ago we met on a little mommy site and it's been a blissful friendship ever since. (we're thick as thieves.)

what can i say about jenn. she's pretty fantastic, yes you should be jealous you're not friends with her. our eldest nuggets are only a little over a week apart. we went through the ups and downs of having our first bambinos, second bambino's, break-ups, new loves, and everything else in between. we share a love for many things crafting, style, NAIL POLISH, blogs, and more. recently we both started blogging, her corner of the internet is pretty fantastic; swoon at her crafting ideas. i know i do, and her son mav - melt. he's so incredibly handsome, chloe? she's a girl from my own heart, firecracker doesn't even begin to explain her. jenn is going to have so much fun with her (haha) when she's a teenager. jenn is the BEES KNEES. i heart her. so before i ramble on more with extreme sentimental pride of having jenn in my life, here she is!

hi! i'm jennifer aka miss-amomynous! i'm a sahm/wahm to a 4 year old daughter, chloe and a 20mos old son, mavrick. my hubby is scott, and we live in canada! (cue canada jokes...) we are all impatiently waiting for summer! cabin fever has hit in full force and i can't wait til we're having backyard barbecues & i can get my hands dirty in the gardens! i have a small daycare with a total of 4 bonus boogers that keep me on my toes and ensure i'll have a full head of white hairs by the time i'm 30!

what made you start to blog?
i started blogging as a way to share photos with family! but then stacey oh so innocently (ha!) introduced me to the world of craft blogs. i was all over them like white on rice! i think i filled my bookmarks column twice over with all these exciting things i wanted to try! it wasn't until recently it occured to me that i too, could create an exciting blog like the ones i've been addicted to!

what do you like to blog about and why?
right now i just blog about my day to day life. lots of photos, as family members love the updated pics! there are some kid-friendly craft ideas as well - but as i finish more projects, i intend on posting tutorials!

what's your favourite part about being a mom? why?
My favourite part of being a mom is the slobbery wet kisses, watching all the exciting milestones from learning how to walk to saying "looooove you!", who wouldn't love that!?

are you a crafter, baker, cook, or artist?
i'd classify myself as a crafter/baker. i'm not a fan of cooking, and i'm not really artistic in the drawing/painting sense! i dabble in sewing and paper crafts at the moment. and of course, lots of fun kid-friendly crafts!

do you have any special talents?
i can wiggle my eyes side to side! :S

Featured Friday Flogger!

yes, i am completely aware that we're on saturday morning. forgive me? we played like red riding hood and to grandmothers house we went. ha. she's going to love that i just said that. grammadukes grabbed us after a long day of venturing around town running errands. last night we just ate some dinner and hung out - lots of fun. hehe, in all honesty it was quiet and very relaxing. so because of this, i wasn't able to get my friday blog post up.

from now on, fridays will be called "featured friday flogger" {flogger=friend, blogger}. every friday i plan will feature a friend whom blogs and we will learn all about them and their corner of the internet. so before i bore you with my long-winded ramblings, lets get to business.

this first cool chick is lori/laura, i met miss lori/laura on a popular mom chat site, mr man K and her youngest both share a birthday month/year, and we met through that specific "chatroom". this momma is pretty wicked awesome, she's so sweet and loving, and she never has anything bad to say, ever. i feel very lucky to have met her, and share experiences through motherhood with her. lori/laura informed me, not too long ago, that she uses BOTH names. i was shocked, i had no clue who laura was. haha! she was playing with my head, i swear. i still get confused but like to razz her by using both names - i mean, who wouldn't? or am i the only person with a twisted mind? (this could be true).

Hi! I'm Lori, I'm from the love and life of an everyday mom and wife, I am a SAHM to 3 wonderful kids and have been married to my childhood sweetheart for 7 years now, but don't let all the gooey stuff fool you :)....I am a closet hip hop dancer (shhh...don't tell) and I like to sing and dance all around the house while I clean.
In my spare time I like to lay in the sun and read...sometimes I like to daydream about sparkly HOTTIE vampires and tan hunky werewolves, lol.  My wonderful family and I were all born and raised in the hills of WVa.  And if you tell me you have family or friends in Roanoke then I will reach into my computer and smack
some sense into you.  And if you have ever heard anything weird or gross about people from WVa (thanks a lot makers of "wrong Turn" and "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia")  then don't believe it because most of us are normal, lol.

what made you start to blog?
I started blogging because my good friend started one and was telling me how much fun it was....I figured i would go ahead and type out my thoughts and events even if I was the only one that wanted to see it...just like an online journal :)

what do you like to blog about and why?
I am always blogging about my kids...they crack me up and say crazy things and do crazy things and it is just too funny to keep to myself...sometimes I blog about the rest of my family but the kids are who I am around the most so they are most of my blogging subjects.

what's your favourite part about being a mom?
I love all the hugs and kisses and I love you's that come along with being a mom.....sure they tend to drive me bananas, but I love them to death and hearing "I love you momma" with a giant hug makes all the bad go away :)

what do you like to do in your spare time? no kids.
Like I said before...I love reading in my spare time.  Most of the time I only get spare time during night time when they are asleep (at least until next year when my youngest goes to school)  I also like shopping (shoes and purses are the best!)  I am a firm believer in shopping as therapy...I know I always feel better after I get something new.
are you a crafter, baker, cook, or artist?
I like to paint and draw but I havent done it since HS....I also LOVE to bake.  It's so much fun to bake a cake or cookies or something else from scratch...something about putting all these things together to make something so DELICIOUS!

do you have any special talents?
I come from a LONG line of musicians...just about everyone on my dad's side of the family play instruments and sings.  I play the drums (again, haven't since HS)  and sing.  Most of the time I only let loose and really sing in front of my close friends or family.  When I have to do it in crowds I tend to get really timid and my stage fright takes over and my whole body begins to shake.   I sing in my churches choir but that's in a group so nobody can single me out if I mess up, lol.

thanks lori/laura for participating in my feature friday flogger. surprisingly, i learned things i didn't know before. or, maybe you told me and i wasn't paying attention - oops.  be sure to pop by her blog and check it out, be careful: you might fall in love with her family.
