One of Lulus adopted love in titles that she inherited from me is "Jillian Jiggs by Phoebe Gilman". I heart this little gem of a book. I remember reading it as a child, and it still brings a
Jillian Jiggs is a precariously energetic little girl who has the most wonderful imagination i have ever seen. Her imagination brings her through many adventures from being a pirate, to a tree, to a monster, and many more.
Through all of her adventures there is one common denominator. Jillian's poor mother wants her to clean her room.
I recommend the entire Jillian Jiggs collection. Phoebe Gilman has extraordinary way of telling these tales through rhyming. She entices her readers with colourful drawings and showing children that having an imagination is one of THEEE coolest traits to embody.
Lulu recommends Jillian Jiggs as well, her favourite is "The Wonderful Pigs of Jillian Jiggs" equally adorable, Jillian creates Pigs and realizes that selling them isn't a great idea because she has a place in her heart for each and every Pig that she sewed together. I'm sure this will be a classic in your home, just like ours. Lulu hearts it!
This is definitely a book I'm getting M for next year in kindergarten.
