she thinks it's hers..

allergies.

this is the only thing consuming me at the moment. i don't know how you poor people suffer through this year after year. i'm pretty positive chuck norris is doing roundhouse kicks to my face. yes, i am whiny and yes, i'm perfectly content with my whininess (just made that word up).

i'm also craving chocolate.

so of course i hit up pinterest for an easy brownie recipe.
THANK YOU PINTEREST!

louloubirdie is obsessed with my mixer, she has now asked me for one for her birthday. i told her i'd buy her one when she moved out as a housewarming gift. geez, she has completely taken it over. but i guess i shouldn't complain, she's a great baker! how many three year olds do you know that knows most ingredients used in baking, can determine the different cups for measuring, and knows how to use the mixer even scraping the sides. i don't do much baking - i just assist her. it's great bonding time!

the brownies turned out delicious, minor fail on the 2-bite part. edible none-the-less.

baking extravaganza

for the love of martha stewart - today was a baking extravaganza. &lemme tell you. nothing was left unturned or unbaked. we were machines.

the nuggets and i headed to my parents this afternoon where my sister and niece was ready to go betty crocker and rock out some great treats. we totally did.

on the agenda:
mud pies
no-bake cheesecake
chocochip cookies
lemon bars
apple crisp

we knocked it out of the park and indulged hardcore after supper.
once the nuggets and i got home i decided that good ol' betsy (my yellow, did i mention yellow, kitchenaid) needed some love. so i made >this<.

heaven. holy heaven. smells absolutely deeeevine.
whipped it up in no time (thank you kitchenaid) and now i want to eat it like 5 seconds ago.
until breakfast tomorrow.. i leave you with pictures.

my mom & i headed to the bulk barn and loaded up on goodies to decorate the cookies.
had an awesome cookie decorating party.
they turned out fantastic.

long weekend via: bb photos.

this past weekend was extremely relaxing.
lots of fun in the sun,
time on the beach,
& shopping at the farmers market.

we enjoyed lunch on the beach,
supper at a great friends,
fireworks, & a bonfire to follow.

each day that ensued was nothing but stellar.
shopping & losing my beloved blackberry.
the return of the blackberry & welcoming home the grandparents
from a camping/racing trip.

then flower shopping,
flower planting,
and embracing the beauty of my newly
freshened up balcony.

more great friends,
yummy eats,
small ice cream cones,
& a bbq vegetable mixture of greatness.

bike rides,
coffee on the porch in the morning,
& surgery on k's beloved lovey.

by the end of it all,
we were happy, healthy, & i can truly
say it was a great weekend.

the nuggest were zonked,
i was exhausted,
& i can't wait to enjoy more time
spent like the weekend we just had.

so for a few days,
the internet was the last thing on my mind,
my blackberry was mia a great part of the time,
& i just enjoyed my time with the nuggets.

how was your weekend?
