things i love sunday

once again, mother nature has plagued us with some unpleasant weather making us all suffer with severe cabin fever - someone pissed in her cornflakes.

so for todays things i love sunday post, i have gathered some things i just cannot forget that i've seen around the interwebs this week.

one of the biggest crazes right now is homemade desert stands - and for the record i will be making these, cheri's are just perfection. subtle and adorable. did i mention cheap?

this week i participated for the first time in Vloggin' Vednesday and the topic was music. this song is pretty bitchin'. and i really like this song, too.


i've decided that if the weather so chooses to stay in a piss poor mood, then we are going to be doing a lot more "preschool" based activities to keep us from turning into savages and eating one another alive, i thought that this robot preschool pack was just way to cute - and free!

and nothing makes me crave spring more than watermelon, and watching this sweet little princess eat her first watermelon makes me want it even more.


scoping out the interwebs this week, and truly trying to figure out where i fit into this lovely blogosphere, i often wonder if people actually read me, or if i'm always talking to myself. then i came across this blog post. i'm pretty sure she put me in my place. i guess it really doesn't matter because after all i do blog for myself, and myself only.

and working on myself means lots of researching on how to get myself happy & healthy when it comes to weight, and i'm pretty sure that jess from IROCKSOWHAT is genius in her thoughts - thanks vanessa for the tip!


i am absolutely positive that lulu needs every.single.one of these bows from a great friends bowtique! i pick up my order wednesday for lou's easter basket (princess bows, they are the actual princesses made out of ribbon...yes, she's going to be SO.COOL!)

and i have to be just as rockin' as lou, i totally want this necklace, have you checked out love stitched??

things i love sunday vol 3

for anybody that reeeeeally knows me, knows that i have a huge slight obsession with nail polish. i am constantly looking for a new polish to sport, and i'm one of those; i heart dark colours. i really do. i mean, i don't think it looks emo/dark whatever you want to call it, what.so.ever. i think it looks fab, and for someone like me who doesn't necessarily like to be "out there", this is my way of adding pizazz to my wardrobe.

in my opinion, everyone should have sally hansens complete manicure collection. i have about 10 different colours from the collection and all i can say is, faab! (i'm totally serious.) it has everything all in one, top coat etc. like a manicure at home, but cheaper.

one of my favourite colours is commander in chic. it is a must have for any nail polish connoisseur's collection. heaven and good for any time of the year, seriously.

isn't this colour fantastic? it's not grey, but it's not purple, but it's... alright, i'll stop now. just swoon. isn't it the taj mahal of colours? (just humour me here peeps).

over the weekend, i did some extreme retail therapy. i needed it, i really did. i am one of those "moms" that goes shopping, for myself, and always comes home with things for the kids and never.ever for myself. i come home and say to myself well yah i bought....noo wait? maybe i didn't. oh riiight, i put that back. oops!

so back to the story at hand, because once again i went off on a tangent, lol. on my me holiday - ha. i grabbed myself two new colours. the first one i put on tonight - bees knees. that's all i'm saying.

all fired up. this is the colour for the summer. i am totally in love, i know it's not commander, but people. we have hit the red jackpot of nail polishes. this baby is smokin!

the other puppy i bought was problem child. i'm usually not a purple person (no purple lovin' haters please) however, i have found a love in purple nail polish. problem child is hella cute. it's sparkly, dark, and that little splash of colour is great for any outfit. especially for someone like me, whom is generally wearing the black/white hues. i sometimes get daring and wear a colourful scarf. (my new one is coral!)

well it isn't that big of a secret that i have a pretty well-known obsession with hello kitty. i have for, well, forever. i mean who wouldn't. hello kitty is incredibly adorable, duuuuh, its a kitty, has a pink bow, and its totally just, i cant even explain it! love love love hello kitty!!! so in my travels of just checkin' out hello kitty and it's amazing things. i found love.

Things I love Sunday

The run down of today?

Well it was a lazy morning, hang outs in my bed watching some good ol' beauty and the beast - thank you Walt Disney. Then we had showers, got our bags ready, and it was off to take the kids to their visitation with their Dad, which ensued some quiet, alone, time with my Mom to walk around Walmart. Has anyone been in a Walmart lately? Some awful stellar people that you run into. We actually walked the store of it's entirety and took it all in. I fell in love with a few plants, thanks to funds, I have to wait until the end of the week to go back and grab them. However, I'm alright with that. I want them, now. And spring, ANYONE LISTENING TO ME, bring on SPRING!
